Travel Info Moving to Dallas within the year. What area is nice..somewhat safe and not too costly. Also, what area Christian (non-demonational) churches would you recommend? Travel Tips Generally, north of LBJ (I-635) is pretty decent. Dallas itself is a great place shop, visit, eat, and work, but you don't want to live there! The Addison / Carrollton / Lewisville / Farmers Branch area is a great place to live. Someone else mentioned Grapevine...any town with a Bass Pro Shops has to be a great place to live! When you feel like dropping $65 / head for a meal, treat yourself to Fogo de Chao on Belt Line in Addison...it's "Muito Bom!" Unfortunately, I can't help you with a church, but you'll have no problem finding one, I'm sure. You're going to love Dallas...it's an awesome place to live and work! Others Say "hi" to Chola when you get there! Grapevine or Colleyville....... Not too sure on the church part of your question! sorry!!! Stay away from Mesquite! It is one big ghetto with a LOT of crime for such a amll place!!! Lived there and hated it!!! There are some nice areas in Mesquite, and it has the Town East Mall. Balch Springs might have something that's not too costly; it's on the south side of Mesquite. I'll try to get the name of the church my sister goes to and get back to you; she visited several churches before picking this one. If you are working inside Dallas city limits, the drive from Grapevine would be bad. Farmers Branch or Carrollton would be better. My son lives in McKinney and drives in to Dallas. It takes him about 45 minutes to get to work in the mornings, and sometimes an hour and a half to get home in the evenings. try the towns on the outskirts of Dallas..Plano is a nice area. Churches..you'll have your choice of them! Dallas is jammed packed with churches. Legacy is a good one..small too. Look at the website for Dallas. |
