I graduated from UTA. I attended school there from 2000-2004. They have brand new dorms that are really nice. They just opened up a new science building. It's a really good school for engineering and nursing. I def wouldn't get a liberal arts degree from there, but maybe teaching is ok.

It's kinda hard to make friends there because UTA is a commutor school. The best way to meet people is to join an orginaztion. There are several different clubs you can join. I'm sure you will find one you will fit it with. The Greek life is has also improved a whole lot too.
