Travel Info We are moving to Dallas, Texas, Is there much going on in terms of spirituality or personal development? Travel Tips Dallas has something for everyone, it really does. This part of Texas is part of the bible belt so if it's sprituality you want you won't have to look far. Personal development is kind of vague but there are colleges, junior colleges, universities and seminars by great motivators going on all the time. I think if you try and find it (whatever it might be) you will find it in the Dallas area. Others Sure, there is a lot going on. I recommend the Maria Kannon Zen Center. It offers a setting for people of various backgrounds and faith traditions to practice Zen. Its founding teacher is Ruben Habito, an authorized Zen teacher of the Sanbo Kyodo school who is also a professor at SMU's Perkins School of Theology. http://www.mkzc.org/about-mkzc.htm... it's in the bible belt. and it's a big city...so sure. but don't get me wrong...people in the south are methodist and baptist...and if you're not...then you're weird. about the only place you COULD fit in here is dallas. Not really, Read answers for things to do and shopping is almost always mentioned. Yes there are good people here, but for the most part this place is pretty soulless. My family and I are also planning on moving to Dallas. So far, I've found Dallas very family oriented. |
