I am Planning a trip to Dallas/Ft.Worth and I am wondering what are the two best things do to their? |
Travel Info I have never been to the Dallas area and I am planning a family get together their. I just don't know whats good. Any suggestions? Hotels? Travel Tips Dallas / Fort Worth isn't home to many "must do" attractions, however, if it's a family get together, I definitely suggest taking them to the 6th Floor Museum and the grassy knoll where JFK was shot. It's a huge piece of history and definitely worth the visit if you're down here. I've included a link to the website for location and pricing information. As far as other "must do's" I would consider visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards. It's about an hour from Dallas, however, it's worth it if you're looking for the other "must do." Other than that, Six Flags Over Texas is fun for the family and there is a water park located directly next to it in Arlington. It's not something you couldn't find elsewhere, however, it's fun for the family. It's about a 30 minute drive from Dallas. As you can see, everything here is pretty spread out. As far as hotels are concerned, I wouldn't stay at one downtown because there's not a lot of entertainment for the family down there. It's actually deserted for the most part on the weekends during the day as most of the shopping and restaurants have moved out to the suburbs. Addison is a great area to stay in and it's near the 4 story Galleria Mall. The Courtyard Marriott on Quorum has some great weekend rates. I've included the links for all of the above mentioned. Other Travel Tips why don't you go to fort worth and stay at the famous Stockyard Hotel. you can go to the elephant saloon, see a rodeo, go downtown to sundanc square, and eat at Joe T Garcias. i make it a habit to never ever go to dallas, so i can't help you with that one! |
