Dallas Cowboys Stadium?

Travel Info
I am thinking of going to the Dallas vs Patriots game in October and I am wondering if someone could help me out with what they may consider good seats and not so good seats in the stadium. I am not sure if the upper section is bad and if it would be worth to pay a more for the lower section. Also, what area is the stadium in? I was checking out priceline for hotels, but was not sure the part of Dallas the stadium resides. Are there any good hotels near by and if so, am I close to the nightlife, etc? Any good suggestions on tailgating? I am not sure if I will rent a car, so is there an area to hang out and have some beers and food or should I suck it up and rent the car to experience the tailgating? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your responses! Oh, and other than stubhub, do you know any other way to get some tickets? Thanks! :)

Travel Tips
A hotel in Irving would get you close to airport (DFW) and close to Texas Stadium. Pre-game and post-game traffic is hell. Try to stay off 183 as that goes by the airport, and by the stadium. I don't think there is much nightlife in Irving though. Downtown Dallas is about 15 - 20 minutes by car, and has a lot more entertainment.
The stadium doesn't have any bars to hang out in while waiting/watching the game. The new one will, but not the current. A lot of people tailgate - but the secret is they go to the back of the lot. Yeah, season ticket holders are at the front, but the average joe that only goes to 1 or 2 games a year know to park at the very back on the grass. It takes much longer to leave, but I usually bbq after the game too. It's gonna be an hour+ anyway to get out of parking, might as well have a brat & beer while waiting! I see more people tailgating and partying in the back than in all the middle rows.

To get tickets, check www.dallascowboys.com for when they go on sale. I've used razorgator before too.

I went to a game there a few years ago. Any seat is OK. The stadium itself is in an industrial area and there are plenty of places to stay within 5 miles. Rent the car, but get to the parking lot about 4 hours before game time, as traffic is a joke. Worse than Gillette. Use the Cowboys web site. I called them and got tix. We stayed in Arlington, near nightlife and other things. Buy your beer the night before.
Texas stadium is in Irving Texas. There are plenty of places to stay right off I-35 and Northwest Highway.
As for tailgating if you are not bringing your own people to party with it may not be much fun. Realize most people are not going to invite you to eat their food and drink their beer.
Those rules change if you are an attractive outgoing female.
