Enjoy and Welcome to Dallas NOW WHEN YOUR HERE YOU MUST PARTY ON DUDE RM DALLAS GUIDE Dallas isn't short on things to do! There's Six Flags, shopping at many different places such as the Galleria, theatres, the arboreatum, the JFK museum, downtown, all different sports games... the list goes on and on! From the area I was moving to Dallas last fall and changed my mind. There isn't a lot to do. Downtown and The West End is what the city promotes in its visitor guide but I went on several weekends and it was a ghost town. There was no signs of life. No people walking or driving through. I saw a lot of businesses closed. I saw a trolley car that I passed several times with no one even riding on it. The trolley looked lonely riding down McKinney St. The museums are just okay but only need to visit once(eg JFK museum, Holocost, etc.) There are restaurants and strip malls in North Dallas/Addison area which extends sooo far out. I got tired of driving trying to find Pappadeaux's restaurant. The Galleria is nice but I am from the Houston area so that wasn't new to me. But each time I went I was extremely bored and I only dined at restaurants and went to the mall which I can do in my current city. I suggest to check the local newspaper before you visit just to see if there's an event to go to. www.dallasnews.com |
