Travel Info What is the best lake for vacationing with kids and a jet ski in texas? Travel Tips Possum Kingdom is the best lake in North Texas --in my opinion. Its huge, the water is clean, it's pretty hilly, and has lots of small cliffs if the kids are into jumping off into the water. Plus it's less than 2 hours from DFW airport, almost due west. It's probably the favorite lake of the Dallas area, at least most of the people I know. Have fun! If you can't find the answers you want you can post a question (just like on Yahoo Answers) in the forum area of the town/city you are interested in. You have a much better chance of getting a "local" person responding to you with all sorts of great info. You can even ask someone to suggest a complete itinerary for you for a trip!! We go out to Lake Palestine every summer. Its beautiful there and its a blast when we go out on jet ski and boat to go tubing. The best place to go there with kids is Pine Cove which is a camping ground and also has cabins and lots of other fun stuff to do there. But if you just don't want to go camping then there are hotels off shore of the lake. It's not far from Longview. There are sandy beaches and picnic areas and camping places from compers. Lake Texoma, north of Denison, is also good. |
