Parking at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Dallas? |
Travel Info I am new to traveling, and the city where I'm from doesn't have these types of parking situations. However, from what I understand, the Hyatt Regency does not have a place where I can park my car and come and go as I please for free? I saw the valet parking is $16 and the self-park is $10. Does this mean that everytime I want to leave the hotel I have to pay the above amount? and I have to pay again when I come back? I guess I will just plan my day so that I only leave once and come back for the evening, if that's how it works. Any help for a country bumpkin? :) Travel Tips I've had similar scenarios in Austin and San Antonio, and I believe that the daily rate ($16 in this case) covers parking for the entire day, regardless how many times you use your car. In Austin it was $12 at the Hyatt for self-park, and they gave us a tag where the security guard would let us in and out. In San Antonio (it was at the Wyndham St. Anthony), we paid like $18 a day for valet, and we milked it everytime... I believe it's just a way to milk you for the money since space is so tight. But I honestly don't think it's $16 per time, that would be ridiculous, and somebody at the front desk would get cuzzed out... but never assume anything, call them... hope this helps... Others Call the hotel and ask. The best thing to do is call and ask. But most hotels like that, will not allow in and out, and you will have to pay every time you use it. Ive stayed there. From what I remember the parking lot is about a block or so down from the hotel. It's not a bad walk but it is up a small slope. The cost is per day. The valet parking is actually at the hotel. Its convenient because you just call the valet from your room when you want your car and by the time you get to the lobby your car is there waiting. Tips are expected. I usually tip $2 each time. If you dont like to walk this is the way to go. As for the hotel, vey nice. Short walk to where JFK was shot. Hope this helps. Stayed there last year. A parking fee at a hotel is based upon the days you stay with unlimited in and out. The self park is very close to the hotel. |
