Why does Fort Worth not have its own sub category? |
Travel Info I know there is one for Dallas but Fort Worth is not Dallas, Fort Worth is the nations 19th largest cities, and there are 30 cities with sub categories, meaning we are larger that 11 of them yet we get no respect. Dallas sucks we are not Dallas. Anyone agree with me? Travel Tips Yeah, I lived in th "Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex" for three years, and Fort Worth is awesome! Dallas is pretty skanky. I agree with you totally. Others FT Worth is less than half the size of Dallas and is known for nothing other than the stockyards. In other words Fort Worth is just one of the many suburbs of Dallas. Never heard of a TV show called FT Worth have you? Well, when people think of TX, they think of cattle... when they think of cattle, they look at Dallas, when they look at Dallas, we point to Fort Worth (hint, hint: stockyards)... therefore, Ft. Worth = country town and not a major city... =O)... J/K I really couldn't tell you why Fort Worth is always in the shadow of Dallas... funny how people over here say that Dallas has 2 airports, but yet Fort Worth doesn't come up on the equation until you make a booking and the airport code comes up as "DFW"... I live in Dallas and have only been to Fort Worth for Sundance Square (which I wonder how come we can't get it together and have something like that over here, yet!)... Everybody I know has always lived in Dallas and the only person that has lived in Fort Worth, moved to Dallas too. I guess it's a matter of preference cause both cities are booming. I don't know if it's because Fort Worth doesn't have any "major, national" sport teams (basketball, football, etc), may be one of many reasons why it's not taken serious at times. The many business', shopping, hotels, events are big in Dallas, can't say the same for Fort Worth... Who knows?? I can't tell you that Fort Worth sucks, but I can tell you that Dallas doesn't!! Peace. Because Fort Worth lives in the shadow of Dallas. Q: What does Fort Worth have that Dallas doesn't have? A: A major city only 50 miles away. (rimshot) |
