Other Travel Tips It is a pretty nice community, there is a huge mall right there..... It is very up and coming, they are really building it up! Used to live 10 minutes away Frisco is an absolutely wonderful place to raise a family. It has gone from a small country town just a mere 15 years ago, to a booming city that is primarily a bedroom community to Dallas. It has many neighborhoods that are quiet, with manicured lawns. Speaking as an educator, Frisco also has an exceptional school district. The superintendent/school board of the Frisco ISD has pledged to never allow any school to have a population that would make them greater than a 4A school. They have lived up to this promise by undertaking an ambitious school building program that adds another high school roughly every two years. There is also a lot in the way of entertainment in Frisco. There are the Roughriders, the 2A minor league franchise of the Texas Rangers, there is pro soccer and minor league hockey as well. All of these facilities are fan friendly and state of the art. There is plenty of shopping and dining available as well. Plus, Frisco has several ballparks, soccer complexes, pee wee football areas as well for the children to participate in. With the extension of the Dallas North Tollway into Frisco, access to the rest of the metroplex is a breeze. So, yes, Frisco is a superb place to raise a family. It is a good area to live. The area is growing fast and there is a lot of businesses moving there. It is quieter and safer than some parts of Dallas. It is an upscale area. Good economy. Friendly people. Lots to do. Frisco is alright. Traffic is a mofo in the area though. Mansfield is still the best bedroom community in the DFW though. Yea Mansfield! |
