What are some fun things to do in dallas? |
Travel Info i'm going to dallas soon, is there anything else that is fun to while i'm there, besides six flags and the zoo? Travel Tips Between Dallas and Ft. Worth, there is a wax museum. There is also the museums at the fair park in Dallas. I would recommend going to the Grapevine Mills mall; it's near the west end of I-635. If you don't want to go that far, check out the Galleria on the north side of Dallas. Others My wife jsut got back from Dallas and had a good time at the Stockyards. Try the Arts District downtown for culture (jazz under the stars is free on Thursday nights thru June), Northpark or West Village for shopping, Lower Greenville or McKinney Ave for nightlife, and the Arboretum at White Rock Lake for some nature. Guidelive has just about anything there is to do in the area. There are multiple water parks, museums, concerts, arts and music festivals, plays . . . you name it! www.guidelive.com We went to Dino Rock in Arlington over spring break. It is an indoor rock climbing place. We had a blast. It just looks like an old warehouse on the outside. We almost didn't go in. The inside has climbing walls all over. It wasn't very expensive. We stayed about two hours and could have stayed longer, but we got hungry. I don't know if they allow outside food and drink, but you should ask. Also the planetarium at UTA has really great shows and they are cheap. Hurricane Harbor is also fun! You know, that is a very interesting question.... I believe one of the most famous things Dallas is known for is the Kennedy Assasination. It is a must. I have lived here my entire life and I have taken all of my out of country and state friends to the museum. If you go, be sure and take the tour with the headphones, it is well worth the extra few dollars. Also, why not go see a sh*tty Baseball team. "The Rangers" No matter how bad they are, the beer is cold and the Stadium is pure greatness. We have one of the nicest horse Tracks in the world according to the local sports pages here in the area. If nothing else, do what Dallas is best known for in my book, Go shop for some new clothes, go back to the hotel and put them on, and then go get loaded and look at the other drunks having fun.....
