Travel Info Is Ross Ave. & the Henderson/Haskell area in Dallas Texas generally safe? Travel Tips Henderson near Central is probably OK since there are a lot of clubs there. But the closer you get to Ross on either of those streets, I would be cautious after dark. Others No, not very safe. Only if you carry an AK 47 and wear a kevlar vest. There are much better places to be in East Dallas. Generally safe? Depends... LOL! Ross is safe in downtown between the West End and Central Expressway (around Sunset Lounge); thereafter (east of central) it's too broke down. Henderson is safe between Belmont (around Cuquitas) and Central Expressway; anything south from there is too broke down. Not really. If you speak Spanish you will be OK the closer to Ross you get.... However if you are hanging on the Henderson and Central 75 places, you will be fine if you speak English. Lots of nice restaurants right there... Even a Churches Fried Chicken if you want to slum it for one night. |
