Anyone on here (in Texas) that has lived in/been to Kentucky? Compare the two...? |
Travel Info I am strongly considering a move to Texas. I like the people, weather, attractions, cost of living, everything about it better than Kentucky! Kentucky is not that friendly, despite what our motto says, and our winters are very frigid. Which of these states do you prefer, and why? I am set on moving to Texas, and nothing can convince me to stay in Kentucky. Thanks for the help! Travel Tips My mom is from Kentucky. She went back to Lexington to be close to her family and hated it. I've lived in 8 states. I picked Texas to live in after college graduation. Texas does have a good share of rednecks, but they are everywhere. Dallas is very friendly, but a bit on the materialistic side. It is not really the best social scene. People just go to work and go home. It is a lot better than Kentucky though. People are friendly and welcoming here. It depends on what you want in life. To compare Texas to Kentucky. In Kentucky, the people are nice, but are "clannish". In Texas, you can make friends anywhere. Others i can give you hundreds of reasons to not move to texas, number 1. cowboys,,, now me i'm country as a chicken coupe but i hate cowboy country, they walk like state troopers are dimwitted and rude also narrow minded, now old cowboys are cool the ones that actually were real cowboys this new breed act like atheletes, they're annoying but fortunately they can't fight worth a damn, i whipped hundreds of em while i lived out there and i can't remember even one of em getting a hit in on me like i said they're dumb and they always go with the overhand right, number two, most of texas gets cold winters, not much snow but it gets freezing because of the wind coming out of canada and there's not one mountain in the midwest to slow the wind down, so it will be thirty degrees out with a wind chill of negative 2. number three hot, i was out there in 98 they had a heat wave, 129 degrees f motorcycles were sinking into asphalt it was so hot, number four,,, scorpions fire ants and tarantulas,,, they got all of that there number five,,,, ugly women,,,, i havent seen women that ugly since i was in oklahoma,,, but go ahead and have at it if ya want partner |
