Are cities like Plano, Richardson and Denton really that great? |
Travel Info I've read the Money Magazine ratings and I've found out that some of Dallas' suburbs are among the best places to live in America. From these ratings, one could understand that these cities are very clean, safe, high standard of living,...etc To those who live in such great suburbs, how do you rate them compared to Austin and her suburbs? Please answer thoroughly if you could. Travel Tips Plano is a real upscale and nice area to live in. Richardson is also nice. I don't consider Denton a suburb because it is a good 30 minute drive from Dallas. It is a college town. Don't get me wrong, it also has a great atmosphere. All of these places are good places to live. Nice people. Good restaurants. Lots of entertainment. Good jobs. Good schools. Relatively safe. They're good places to raise a family. I live in Addison and I love the suburbs on the Northern edge of Dallas! Others Having lived in these areas of Dallas, TX, I would imagine Money Magazine found a way to get their ratings from those residents that are at the high end of income. Austin, being the capital of TX, would automatically rate lower even though their residents on the income list rate high because of the area's politics. Either way, the ratings would be bias since Money Magazine is concentrating on the 'high end of living', not the entire area of living in suburbs of Dallas or Austin. |
