Does the fountain place building in dallas tx have any right (90 degree)angles? |
Travel Info i was told that that was the case and wondered if it was true Travel Tips Technically, yes, it has right angles where it meets the ground; but it was designed to look like a spurt of water coming out of a fountain, so it's not really meant to look angular - but instead look either like it's spiraling upwards or downwards, whichever. To say that it has "no right angles" would be incorrect. I mean, it's a building: it's got to have right angles. Otherwise, the building - let alone everything inside it - wouldn't stand; but the building and the fountains adjacent to the building are meant to imply something more reflective and fluid than an angular structure. Source(s): Lived in Dallas all my life. Worked across the street at Lincoln Plaza at 500 N. Akard for 3 years and ate at the Avanti in the lobby and the Taco Bell on 5 in Fountain Place regularly. Actually watched the American Airlines Center be built across Woodall Rogers Freeway from the 5th floor of Fountain Place for a couple years. Other Travel Tips Look at the photos below. I see lots of right angles. http://www.photohome.com/pictures/texas-... http://www.galinsky.com/buildings/founta... |
