What is there to do in dallas? |
Travel Info going there for my anniversary. We aren't interested in the club scene, just looking for something interseting to do. Perfer it to be close to the Dallas Airport Marriott. Travel Tips Where you are staying, rent a car is number one. A ride to Downtown is going to set you back about 30 there, and 30 back. Basically Dallas is spread out a ton, and getting around without renting a car is going to cost you and arm and a leg.. From DFW airport, your options are kind of few. There is a Great Tex-Mex Restaurant in Downtown Grapevine called Esparza's. You must have Tex-Mex while in this area, it is what Texas is about when it comes to food. That and BBQ, and Chicken Fried Steak. Esparza's has the best Frozen Margarita you will ever put down the ole pipe. Food is nice as well. The one thing you must do when you are here and I take all of my visiting friends from around the world when they come here is the Kennedy Museum Downtown Dallas. Do the tour with Headphones, it will guide you through with a recorded tour. I have never had a disapointed person yet. Dive restaurants are the key to any area in my opinion, it will give you the feeling of living here. You should do one other thing while here, drive to Fort Worth if you can rent a car and go to the Stock Yards of Fort Worth. It will give you the understanding of what this area was like. Also, that evening go to Downtown and it will amaze you as well. Fort Worth and this area is something to see. Good Luck, and have fun. Congrats on your anniversary as well. Kyle Others you could go rent a boat down at Lake Ray Hubbard and just go out and relax, fishing, drink, talk, smash. There's lots to do! hurricane harbor, Ice skating, bungee jump, There is lots to do in Dallas- If you are into fashion there is the trade markets where retailers come from all over to purchase their products. There are concerts, ballets, musicals shows etc. It is actually a very metropolitan city. There is also a Six Flags. Dallas is a big city, land wise. You'll have to do a little driving. The Botanical Garden is nice. It is off of Garland Road. Downtown, there are a lot of nice things to do. Museums, restaurants... Six Flags, the amusement park. http://www.dallascvb.com/visitors/...
