Anyone live in Arlington, TX?

I am being transferred to Arlington Tx, by the GM Assembly plant, are the apartments nearby safe for me and my wife.

Travel Tips

Any apartments off of Green Oaks blvd, or Lamar St. are pretty nice. You may want to check in Grand Prairie too. Pretty much anywhere in Arlington is no more than a 15 min drive. Try St.Laurent in Arlington, there are a lot of nice apartments right by their too. It's off of 360 and Post & Paddock. Also Papillion Park townhomes are really nice. They are off RandolMill & 30. It's acctually a Ft. Worth address but about 10-15 mins from the plant. There are some nices ones off North Collins and Green Oaks. You could go to apartmentraitings.com too. Welcome to Arlington!

welcome to texas. i live in garland. six flags' is in arlington. i don't live in arlington so i am not sure about apartment homes close by there. i live in apartments in garland, texas.
I live maybe 10 minutes at most from the GM Assembly plant at a place called Remington Meadows. Just moved in a few months ago and haven't had a complaint with the place at all. It's a gated community and everyone seems really nice. I definately feel safe here and trust me that was a big issue in my decision. I'm just a 22 year old girl living by myself so I needed somewhere safe. They run background checks on everyone before they move into the apartments and won't allow anyone with a criminal record in. If you need any repairs done, they are even usually fixed the same day too. It seems like mostly it's a family community, but it's not loud or has kids running around everywhere. The rates are pretty reasonable too. You might want to check it out. www.remingtonmeadows.com. Arlington is a great area! Good economy. Good entertainment--Texas Rangers and Six Flags and lots of good places to live.
Right down (south of the assembly plant) 360 off of Pioneer Parkway is a great apartment complex, Cimmaron Crossing. It's about 5 minutes away from the assembly plant. There are many other complexes in that area. My sister used to manage that particular complex. You may want to pick up an apartment guide and do a little research to get an idea of what your looking for. Arlington is a great area.
Arlington is a great place to live but we are experiencing growing pains. the new Cowboy stadium and the new Arlington Highland area by the Parks mall is a major traffic jam. Stay away from east Arlington. Look for an apt. in North or South Arlington. Welcome to our growing city.
Saw that someone else lives in Remington Meadows. Lived there for 2 years and it was pretty nice, quiet and safe. It's on Collins north of I-30 (short drive to the plant) and there are tons of apartments in the area. You shouldn't have a problem finding something you like that's close to work. I'd suggest north of I-30 or south of I-20 for best results.
