Texas residents: What keeps you in Texas? Do you love it there? |
Travel Info I've decided to leave my home of Kentucky for the state of TEXAS (or, should I say, the Republic of Texas.) I love what I've seen: clean roadsides--TX is the cleanest state I've ever been to. It's also the friendliest, most polite state I've ever been to. I love the cities and small towns alike, live music and beautiful parks, great meat, infuse of Mexican culture, beaches, prairies, and (for the most part) weather. I also know to never incite a debate about UT/A&M football, ever, if I value my life. (Luckily, I haven't done that that.) All answers welcomed. If you've also lived in or visited Kentucky, you're welcome to compare the two states. God Bless Texas! Travel Tips The weather is a big thing, if your from the north like I am, your probably sick of snow and more especially trying to do normal everyday activities and deal with snow/cold. When it snows here in Dallas everything closes. The other things you mention are also good reasons. As they say, Texas is like a whole 'nother country. Others I was born and raised in Texas there is no other state to compare to it. We love everything bigger and better. When Texas does something you can bet it is going to be the best. We have many mixed nationality's here and lots of different personality's. Congrats on your decision to move to the best State in the U.S I been to Texas a couple of times. The state is okay. They are kinda behind on alot of things ie, music, style, fashion.etc. The whole dudes wearing tight jeans has to go though. I guess Tx is okay if you want to live there. texas is a great place to live because we have everything, beaches, mountains, deserts, praries, and the dallas cowboys!!!but yea we have all different kinds of cultures and there are groups to chill with for every type of personality. we also have great weather. everything is bigger in texas but we're the most friendly people you will ever meet. i've lived here my whole life Variety, and yes, I love it here. I was born in New York. I moved to Texas when I was 2. My parents were born and raised in Texas. They still live here. So does most of my family. I like how big and diverse Texas is. There are examples of every ecosystem here. And the cities are big enough to have everything you need. I love my home. |
