Travel Info Want to be in professional/upscale area. Travel Tips If you are young professional and want to be in the middle of everything look in uptown. You can walk everywhere, it's 5 minutes from downtown and the restaraunts are unreal. Post properties basically owns that whole area so look at their website. But the main thing about living in Dallas is you want to live about 5 miles from where you work. Traffic is miserable especially going into downtown in the morning and going north in the evenings Others Los Colinas and the North Dallas area like Frisco and Plano. Do not go to the South part of Dallas. Las Colinas, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Addison, north Dallas. By the way, 850 may not be that "upscale" - just decent. The previous entry is correct..... 850 - 1100 will not get you "upscale" Dallas. HOWEVER you can get SOMETHING in that price range in Allen, McKinney in a decent beautiful neighborhood. ((What's your idea of upscale?)) Plano is one of the priciest areas around. We found that out when we first moved here (* years ago). 1100 a month is how much we payed for a 30 year old home that was in poor condition. Good luck! Do you want an apartment (how big?), a townhome, a house??? That will decide where you can live for that amount of money. I would suggest that you might look at some older apartments in a nice area. Sometimes they are much cheaper than new construction and actually have more closets. ROFLMAO !!! Sorry, dude.
