When (and how) should I go to New Delhi? |
Travel Info My friend just got a job in New Delhi for the next two years. When is the best time for me, my wife and4 year old son to visit? What should we do there? And what is the preferred way to get there from northern California, through Europe or Asia? Travel Tips US - Japan - India US - Thailand - India US - Hong Kong - India US - India (I am sure some or other flights should be available) In Thailand and HongKong it is Visa on arrival, so you can plan a stopover there also. In Delhi, you can visit Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Appu ghar. Near by places to visit Taj Mahal (Agra - 4 hrs from Delhi), Chandigarh (5 hrs from Delhi) (Has lots of places like Rose Garden, Rock Garden, boating etc), Haridwar and Rishikesh (if interested in Pilgrimage places), Jaipur (5 hrs from Delhi) (Lots of places and historical monuments) (Also known as pink city) Welcome to India.
