Travel Info
I have first travel by Rail so u help me i need reservation or they will provide me on the spot ticket ?

Travel Tips
Due to security measures, spot issuing of tickets on some trains, including all Rajdhanis, is stopped by Indian Railways. Please double check this aspect to avoid dis-appointment later.

Others
they can give u ticket on the spot but u shud have that money so that u can buy that ticket.
u should go for reservation that's better otherwise u might have to stand in the train
Hi, please don't throw Rajdhani Exp !

Well, jokes apart -
Indian Railways offers tickets for Rajdhani Express trains to be booked in advance. If you go just a little before the train departure time, you may get the ticket, subject to availability. So it is preferred and advisable to get the tickets reserved in advance.

By the way, where are you going? Which Rajdhani express are taking? There are several Rajdhani Express trains.

You can find the train schedules and the availability of tickets and much more at the website of Indian Railways:
http://www.indianrail.gov.in

You can also book tickets online from http://www.irctc.co.in
Hi Frnd,

To travel in Rajdhani Exp. you need to have a reserved seat. Whu dont you go to one of the computerized reservation counter of Indian Railway and book your ticket. You can also get an on the spot ticket if there is vacancy. But you will not be allowed to board Rajdhani Exp. if you dont have a reserved accomodation. By the way, from where are you coming to Delhi?

hi,
as per the indian railways rule, a person can not enter any reserved compartment without a confirmed / RAC ticket, so u have to have a confirmed seat before u board a fully reserved rajdhani exp.
u can get tickets in the following way:
1. get a tatkaal ticket from the counter
2. go to new delhi railway station, they have special counters for issuing tickets upto three hours prior departure of the train.
3. get an e-ticket from the website www.indrail.gov.in (but for this u require a credit card and a photo identity ...... a driving license will also do)

a piece of advice ......... never board a rajdhani without a ticket ......
If you are a foreigner, there is a separate section for railway bookings. You go to Delhi station and go to the first floor which actually states Booking office for foreigners.

If a seat is available, you have foreign currency, (not rupees) as you are a foreigner, you will get your train ticket.

Go at least 3-4 hours ahead as they are rather busy sometimes. It will also take you time to find the places.

See the privileges of being a foreigner in India?

Yes. You get special treatment. Just dont be rude to indians because i have found foreigners on trains who humiliate indians about their crowded trains and disorganised lives.

I know. I have been there.
