How far is inter-state bus terminal from newdelhi or hazrat-nizamudin railway station? |
Travel Info Are there frequent bus services or public transport services. HOw much do autowallah take? Are there metro rail services...? What is the ticket? I am coming to delhi for the first time...? Where do i get bus to travel to Pilani? What is the journey time... Travel Tips There are 3 famous and mostly used inter state bus terminus (ISBTs) in Delhi. I presume that you wish to go to Pilani (while coming from Hyderabad!!) Get down at New Delhi Railway Station. Come out from the station towards Ajmeri Gate side (not Paharganj side). Now you have two good options to go to Kashmere Gate ISBT (from where you will get bus for Pilani) At New Delhi Railway Station - Ajmeri Gate side, either you can take a pre-paid autorickshaw/taxi from Delhi Police managed booth or take a Metro Rail from just outside exit gate of the railway station building but within the compound wall of the station. Metro train would definitely work out to be much cheaper, but if you are 3-4 persons, the auto/taxi fare for all of you would be in the same vicinity as Metro train fare for all. Still Metro is preferable if not carrying much luggage. Pubic buses are also there but I won't suggest you to take one particularly if you are coming for the first time in Delhi and that too after a long journey from Hyderabad!! (Though you didn't mention HYD anywhere in your this question, I feel I am guessing right!!) At Kashmere Gate ISBT, you can have both state transport run and "under permit state transport" buses to Pilani at regular intervals. Journey to Pilani may take around 3 hours from ISBT. For fare, if taking auto/taxi from Delhi Traffic Police operated booth, it would be regulated and O.K. Fare by Metro and other state run buses are the cheapest and fixed.
