Are you a foreigner or are you an Indian citizen? If foreigner and you want to LIVE in India, you can apply for a permit with the use of your passport... If you already have a driving license from your country(US or otherwise), you can get by with that but what I do.. I get here in the U.S., an International Driver's license and when I go to a foreign country, I use it. Besides filling up the basic form, you need to provide proof of residence and your age. If you are suffering from and physical disability - like using high power spectacles, you need to provide a medical certificate for your fitness to drive using those glasses, in all weather and time conditions. You would also be required to give copies of your passport size coloured latest photographs. you need an age proof along with an address proof of delhi. Ideally your passport will be just fine. |
