Can you help us plan our trip to India?

Travel Info
We two women want to travel to and from Delhi to Agra and Jaipur (total 3 nights). Should we take trains between the cities and arrange pickup by hotels on arrival in Agra and Jaipur? Should we find a car and driver to take us from Delhi to both places and around? If so, can you suggest a good company? Any suggestions on the best way to organize the trip?

If u want to go on ur owm then u can take a morning train to Agra visit Taj Mahal then board a bus/trian overnight travel to Jaipur. Visit Jaipur and take a bus/train overnight journey to Delhi.

The frequency of bus is more for trains u can check the following sites:

www.indianrail.gov
www.irctc.co.in

MY SUGGESTION IS YOU FLY TO AGRA FOR THE DAY SEE THE TAJ AND FLY BACK TO DELHI TO TRY TO MAKE A CONNECTION TO JAIPUR SAME DAYF POSSIBLE OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE SLEEP OVER THERE IS NO FLIGHT BETWEEN AGRA AND JAIPUR,DRIVING WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE DONT DO IT, THE 5 STAR TRAIN CALLED PALCE ON WHEELS IS THE WAY TO GO IF YOU CAN CATCH IT , DO NOT TAKE THE LOCAL TRAIN SYSTEM YOU DONT NEED THAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE
if you want a nice hotel in New Delhi, stay at the imperial hotel.
Its the best. There are no good hotels in Jaipur or Agra but there is a sheraton in both places and those are always reliable.
getting train tickets is tough in india u have to book well in advance if u manage to get the train tickets then it is the best option..
for train tickets please refer www.irctc.co.in or www.indianrail.gov.in
other wise car is not bad too as both the highways delhi jaipur and delhi agra are good.

for renting a car u can visit www.makson.co.in/index.php
When you travel from Delhi to Agra you should start around 12 noon and you should before departure book a night in Agra,

Distance is around 275 kms and travel time by Road is 3 to 4 hours, Don't take a cab, It isn't very safe,

Let your Delhi hotel book you a cab, for a trip and back to Agra,(make sure you get a sedan cause the road is bad,) Also make it a point you view the Taj in twilight and at dusk, Thats the beauty of the whole trip,

So we are talking about a night in Agra and you can leave for Jaipur from there the next morning by taxi, On the way you can see Fatehpur Sikhri from which the Mughal emperor Akbar ruled, Jaipur is about 275 kms from agra and a part of Rajashthan, The PInk city as it is called, The travel time from Agra is 5 hours by cab, You need to see the old bazaars in Jaipur, The palace, The fort, Jal mahal, Jaising Palace, Nagaour fort, The most famous Jantar mantar, and the Hawa mahal. Best place to stay inJaipur is The Trident Hotel in front of The Jal mahal,

The Cab cost for the round trip should be around 7000 Rs. Max.
The hotel Around 4000 INR/day for a double bed INclusive of all taxes.

If you are travelling down south towards Bangalore then Lemme know cause i can personally organise one for you.
you can go by train
for that visit indianrail.gov.in
if you want to go frm flight you can visit makemytrip.com for lowest air cost &
you can also find reliable car service on that site
I was a solo woman traveler in India! A month has passed since I got back from India. Absolutely loved my trip!

I also went to Delhi, Varanasi, Agra, Jaipur, and Rishikesh(staying at yoga ashram) this summer. It's completely my original plan, and for my safety and to save my time ( I wanted to go to many places with limited amount of time) I asked a local travel agency to arrange everything beforehand. I'll recommend this tour operator. http://www.tourindia.info/
If you want to make your trip unique and unforgettable, they can customize and design your travel program according to your wishes with reasonable price. They also provide pick-up service from the airport and hotel/transportation arrangement. Usually, Indian agency's feedback is very slow, but their response is very quick and kind, and if you are in any trouble during the trip, they are willing to help you resolve the issues. Heart-to-heart service with warm hospitality and friendship they extended to me was something that touched my mind too.
