Can someone help with the reasons for sealing of Shops in the Delhi Metros. Paper reports only the consequences not the reason why shops in residential areas should be sealed. Please help.

Its very simple. All the shops constructed were illegally constructed, flouting all the norms laid down by the governent.

for ex: big complexes came in between a few residential colonies causing sever problems to the residents.
