Travel Info I am visiting Delhi on 23rd Jan. and would like to take ride in the Metro Rail. Also want to know about the places to be visited as I had been to Delhi 3 years ago. Also tell me about the shopping places etc. Thanks Travel Tips Actually u din't told for how many days are u visiting Delhi? Still if u want, u can have a ride in the tourist coach from Lal quila or Scindia house, Connaught Place, by DTDC(Delhi tourism), a nominal charge will make yr visit to most of the Delhi places planned & joyfull. Regarding metro rail, I wud prefer u ride to metro from IP extn station, nr ITO... that wud let u first ride on the over head route, then rush underground to Rajiv chowk, then again get overhead transition at pachkuian rd, & ride upto atleast rajouri garden, or even Dwarka, & come back via same route & get down at yr convenient place. No other route will give u above to below transition. Either under ground or above the ground only. Else u can visit National Museum of Natural History at Barakhambha Rd, Mandi house chowk. National Museum at Janpath Qutub Minar ISCKON temple + Kalkaji temple + Lotus temple spiritual triangle at a foot distance fm each other Lakshmi Narayan (Birla) Temple at Mandir Marg, near CP/Pachhkuian rd. Red fort & India gate try to avoid, due rep day celebrations. National Science Centre at Bhairon Marg, alongwith Crafts museum on the same rd. & Purana quila & Zoo....... all along & near by. While going to Qutub Minar, u can also visit Dilli Haat at Kidwai Nagar/ INA mkt halt. for shopping: Sarojini Ngr mkt near Dilli haat good for ladies suits, sarees, baby needs, etc Lajpat ngr Central Market... good for ladies suits, etc Chandni chowk .. good for everything, although rushed mkt.. CP gud for nothing mktg. any specific thing u want to buy, tell me... I'll def guide u. I think this muchg is enuf...
