I have been cheated by Qatar Airline? |
Travel Info I have been given boarding pass from Johniseburg Airport on 12th January 2007 to Doha and Doha to Bombay and Bombay to Ahmedabd.I have received all Boarding pass at JHB.when I have to Fly from Doha to Bombay at Boarding gate they tell me my name is not in system I have to go transferdesk when I reached at transfer desk 9 paasenger like me are there to go to Bombay with same type of problem.!I told at transferdesk my mother is sick and she is in ICU I have to rush to Ahmedabad.They offer me Hyderabad tick to I can reach India quickly they also told me everything will be taken care at Hyderabad!!Eventually I reached Ahmedabad 24 hrs late with so much physical & mental stress. If there is no reply complaint to CEO (or similar rank person). The Airline may reply that to avoid flying an empty carriage they over book it a Little. Now if somehow all the passenger shows together - this kind of problem occurs. But that's not your look out. Planning is there duty when you are paying for it and that too a hefty price. Others Talk with the travel agent take booked the flights with you and tell them that way if they have a Sales Rep from that airline they can talk with them. Or you can contant either Travel Agent Magazine or Travel Weekly they are both Travel Agent Industry Magazines they would have some pull with the airline and helping you resolve this issue. I dont think that there is any method. All private agencies are like that. Whether it is an airlines or a courier company or any other agency. Only government agencies have a proper complaint redressal system. go the agency where yo bought the ticket from and claim a compensation. do not forget, and this is the most important thing, to tell anyone and any web-forum about what happened to you, this airline paid off to get their quality awards 1. Just file a complaint in the Consumer Court with all the 3 boarding passes, and the substitute boarding passes issued to you. 2. Write to India TV and CNN-IBN , who have special shows for consumer redressal and let them show up Qatar Airways on TV for the benefit of other passengers. Well since you were issued a boarding pass at Johnsburg it shows that u had a booking and the travel agent is not at fault. It is surely airlines fault. The first thing to do is to send them a detailed mail with a copy of all the boarding passes. Then approach the consumer redressal cell and file a case against the airlines for mental harrassment and wrong doing. Also you should approach all the newschannels as they want some good masala like this and they will make sure your voice is heard by the right people. Company like Qatar Airways is quite reputed and will surely not like adverse publicity and will take necessary steps immediately. I think its the fault of airlines. report it to customer cares department of airlines. As per my personal experience goes it will be a waste of time. They dont take responsibilty of any kind. in the future avoid Qatar. it may be cheap but my personal experience was also not good. |
