Here is the press statement from the temple authorities: 1)The Kapat opening date of Shri Badrinath temple has been decided. The temple will open on 1st May 2007 at 4:00 AM. The date was decided by the chief priest of the King of Tehri Garhwal on the auspicious day of Basant Panchmi i.e. 23rd January 2007. During the ceremony the king of Tehri Garhwal HH Shri Manujendra Shah, Hon'ble President of BKTC Dr. Ansuya Pd. Maikhuri, CEO of BKTC Shri P.M. Sharma and other dignitaries, officials of BKTC were present. 2) The Kapat opening date of Shri Kedarnath temple has been decided. The temple will open on 30th April 2007. The date was decided on the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri i.e. 16th February 2007 on Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. During the date opening ceremony the Hon'ble President of BKTC Dr. Ansuya Pd. Maikhuri, CEO of BKTC Shri P.M. Sharma and other dignitaries, officials of BKTC were present.
