I am new to chandigarh INDIA I need to visit new delhi for NCLEX exam? |
Travel Info I am visiting delhi for nclex exam please help me how i can go from chandigarh to new delhi without any trouble what is my best way to travel and budget i should look forward too where i should stay in delhi so its easy to go to testing center below is address for testing center i live in chandigarh at present. Pearson Professional Centers-New Delhi, India +91-11-41841472 18,Ramnath House Yousuf Sarai Community Centre Above Hyundai Show room New Delhi, Delhi 110016 Travel Tips The area Yousuf Sarai is located very close to the famous All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Popularly known as AIIMS) & Safdarjung Hospital in South Delhi. Depending upon your budget, you may travel to Delhi from Chandigarh (distance approximately 270 Kilometers) by rail, road or air. Due to short distance, air route is inconvenient & not very popular. Rail and road options are preferred by frequent travellers on this route. Rail & road travel cost by AC and luxury coaches works out to be nearly same; whereas trains are limited and as per schedule but buses are available every 10-15 mintues frequency from Sector 17, Chandigarh ISBT for Delhi. You may also travel to and fro journey by hired cab/taxi as the road conditions are very good and convenient enroute. You won't face any trouble on intercity travel due to plenty of transportation options in variety available to suit all budgets. In Delhi, the hotels and other commercial places of stay near your centre are little costlier, but otherwise convenient from proximity, environment, facilities point of view. Just give a search on google for hotels in South Delhi, you may find a lot of options. Otherwise, all popular travel sites may offer you deals for hotels, depending upon your duration of stay and budget. Alternatively, Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Yousuf Sarai/Green Park/Haus Khas, South Extension and Safdarjung Development Area can offer you many reasonable places of stay - take a search on Internet. Except Karol Bagh, all other areas are in the range of about max. 5 kilometeres from your centre. Others going Del frm chd is not big deal.....u have govt bus then u have ac bus then u have volvo,,, all you can take from sec 17 bus stand ISBT by train u can have shatabdi and jan shatabdi.. to move in delhi........... always take prepaid taxi avalable on all rly stn and bus stnd all he best for ur exam http://rahul.co.in I have been living in Chandigarh for more than 15 years and the best way to reach Delhi is (in order) 1)Bus : the bus takes 4, 4.5 hours . The ticket is affordable and the service is available practically 24 hours a day. Go to ISBT (Inter state bus terminus) in sector 17 anytime and you will find the bus destined for Delhi in no time. You can also take AC buses etc. It takes little time because the road is GT road which is wide, smooth and makes the journey memorable 2)Train : You can take Shatabadi or Jan Shatabadi (price is rs 108 for it) . the reservation for the train is also doneat ISBT in sector 17 . The Shatabadi normally runs in the morning and takes 3 hours(I think) while Jan Shatabdi takes more time. 3)Air : This is not preferred normally because the flights are very less and it does not provide value for the money. I do not know about Delhi so cannot help you regarding where you should stay . All the best for your exam. go to bus stand and take any bus Haryana Roadways or DTC. for New Delhi and when u reach New Delhi, u can stay behind Jama Masjid any small hotel (Walking distance from ISBT) which r aprox 100 to 150/- per day. it is far from yousuf sarai so in morning u hv to get bus no. 503 and this bus takes u from jama masjid to Yusuf sarai (40 to 50 min. way) Travel by trains.Take the 2 shatbdis (1 in morning and other in evening). They take just 3 hours. Stay at a hotel near Medical (AIIMS).They are many good Guest house around there.Preferable ask a travel agent in chadigard to book 1 for you if are coming to delhi first time. http://www.indianrailwaypnr.info/... |
