Unusual attractions - copenhagen? |
Travel Info Unusual attractions - copenhagen? Travel Tips I have to agree that Christiania is a pretty strange thing to see. You are walking in this pretty neighbourhood downtown and BAAM you are in a hippy commune with pot growing out of the cracks in the ground. I just moved to Copenhagen and I was not expecting that. It is interesting to see and yeah lots of dogs. I can't think of any other "unusual" attractions other then the Erotic Musuem which I haven't been to. Tivoli, the oldest amusement park in the world, is a lot of fun but it is closing soon until December and one week in October. I went to the zoo the other day and I was really impressed with how close you can get to the animals. Copenhagen downtown on friday night is a bit of an attraction. Gets pretty crazy. These Danes like to drink. Others drugs, sex and i hear some of the plays are grand The Little Mermaid. People keep stealing her head. With out a doubt, not only Copenhagen's most unusual tourist attraction, but perhaps Europe's most unusual: the "free city" of CHRISTIANIA, Europe's oldest squatted territory (since1971) and self-governing community despite increased government pressure to legalize it. Visit Christiania while it still exists in its present form . . . an amazing three to six hour tour. Don't worry about all the dogs running free and hope the weather cooperates!
