Travel Tips It depends on the airline - some airlines will not open check in till 2 hours before, and they have a strict 40 min deadline, whereas others will open 3 hours before and let you check in up to 30 mins before. So check on the website or call the airline if want to know for sure. If you arrive 1 and a half hours before you will be absolutely fine, if you arrive earlier still you'll be at the front of the queue and will be able to ditch your suitcase early, get the best seats and go for a beer! Others I think check in opens 2 hours 30 mins before departure and shut 1 hour before but check with your airline or www.heathrowairport.com give yourself two hours You shold be fine if you turn up 1 hour before departure (unless you like shopping!) Check in closes 30 mins before departure. I hate hanging around airports and for short haul I never have a problem 1 hour before. Back to normal now A lot of airlines allow you to check in on-line now. If you are able to do this then you only need to be at the airport about 45 minutes before the flight. Bon Voyage. |
