Travel Tips
I think that most of the answers that you have recieved already are quite wrong. I dont know wether these people live in Denmark, but if they do then they are REALLY behind. Most Danes have forgotten about the cartoons, but if the topic does come up, they are embarassed about it.
I am from the UK (not muslim) and live in Denmark. You notice that peoples reaction to foreingers in Denmark, is very 'Denmark for the Danes' . its slowly changing and the Danes are becoming more open to other nationalities, but you have to remember that they have only recently started to have immigrants (wether they be Muslim, or whatever), compared with countries like the UK or Germany. So of course we do get treated differently, but not in a rasist way, more like a "why are you HERE?!" kind of way!!.
They are a very welcoming race, thats why I have been here 6 years. Dont worry about the cartoons.
Embrace it! and good luck!

Others
Badly. Sorry, But members of your faith shouldn't have made such a big deal out of those mohammed cartoons. Sucks to be you.
Go confidently. Be proud of your roots wherever you go. People the world over will relate to spontaneity, cheerfulness and a positive approach. With inter-racial ties and friendship come new beginnings and then we can all look forward to a better more humane and peaceful world.
Some might not treat you too good. U guys take things too personally. It comes back right at you.
Pretty bad actually since your bretheren made such a big deal over the cartoons to the point where they removed thier diplomatic officials to Denmark as well as boycotting thier products.

Don't expect to find a sea of smiles.

To be honest with you, I truely feel sorry that you have to go through all this crap especially if you disagree with the radicalized muslims. Its a tough time for all of us and what we all need in this world is love!
Probably if you focus on all the similarities you have with the local religion you will do fine; don't think too much about the differences or they will be uncomfortable.
Dont go by the popular opinion or by what the media professes. No matter where you go in the world, do not feel shy, diffident or any less confident to be a muslim. If God decides to protect you, then there is nothing in the world that can harm you.

Say: "Shall we indeed call on others besides Allah,- things that can do us neither good nor harm,- and turn on our heels after receiving guidance from Allah. - like one whom the evil ones have made into a fool, wandering bewildered through the earth, his friends calling, come to us', (vainly) guiding him to the path." Say: "(Allah)'s guidance is the (only) guidance, and we have been directed to submit ourselves to the Lord of the worlds;-
(Surah 6. Cattle, Livestock, Qur'an)

All over the world, there are good and bad people - in every faith incluing ours. It would be foolishness to generalise and fear that which God can protect us from.

Pray & Believe !!
