I am an au pair here in denmark i want to take a vacation in london, what are those requirements needed? |
Travel Info i have a cosin and her family in london..do they have to send me invitation letter before goin to london? Travel Tips The first answer is only partially and not totally correct. If you were born in a member country of the European Union (EU) you do NOT need a visa to travel from Denmark to London. If you were born in a country outside the EU but are working "legally" in Denmark you will have a "residence permit" stamp in your Passport (*opholdstilladelse* in Danish). This stamp allows you to travel within the EU . . . because any country can send you back to Denmark, the place of your temporary residence, if you asked for asylum or residence. However it is good to have as much *paper* as possible, so ask your cousin and his family for an invitation. This can only help! If you are working "illegally" in Denmark and are from a country outside the EU, you'll have BIG troubles . . . don't even try to enter the UK. It might help to contact the British Embassy in Denmark. Here is the physical address with telephone number and a few links. Hope you succeed...
