What is different between Denmark and U.S.?

Travel Tips
The main difference when it comes to Christmas is that in Denmark the main celebration is on Christmas Eve. People will gather for a good Christmas meal in the early evening. And after dinner, the christmas tree will be lit (most have candles on it), and people will dance / walk around the tree while they sing Christmas hymns. Then they will give out all the presents.
But there are a number of other differences too - both before and during Christmas.
You can find a really good description of a Danish (and other countries') Christmas on this website:

Merry Christmas :-)

Others
In Denmark, everyone speaks Danish....in the U.S., everybody speaks Mexican.
Well, the language, the currency, the climate, the food, the natural resources, the government, the cars, the fact that Demnark is a series of islands whereas the uSA is mostly one land mass.
Are you asking specifically about the differences in Christmas celebrations? A lot of Danish have their main celebration on Christmas Eve. Hearts are a common decoration in Denmark around Christmas. They don't eat Turkey. Pork Roast and duck is common for Christmas dinner. Lots of families hold hands and dance around the Christmas tree and through the house singing carols. They have a tradition regarding imaginary little people who celebrate Christmas year round and eat only porridge. They are called "Nisse".
Experiencing my first X-mas in Denmark
They might have Christmas day on a totally different day.
really they have alot of the same things going on!

They spend time as a family and friends. they enjoy great food. they open presents. and they sing Christmas songs.

some of them enjoy the story of Christ's birth, But for the most part they just have a great time.

I lived there for two Christmas seasons and loved every bit of it!
