Is Solvang CA really like Denmark?

Travel Info
I visited Solvang last year and it didn't really feel like I was in Europe. Nice town, however.

Travel Tips
Solvang was started in the early 1930's I believe, by immigrants of German and Danish decent. They wanted a place that reminded them of home, but it eventually became a very strong tourist attraction. It's a great place, with awesome food, and amazing danishes, but I doubt it's anything like Denmark.
When my wife and I used to live in California, one of our favorite vacation spots was Carmel, and Monterey. We would always stop in Solvang for a couple of days just for the food and danishes. There is a place called Paula's Pancakes which has breakfast to die for. Their pancakes are the size of a dinner plate.

Others
If the Danish are all vapid and rich, and the women all have boob jobs and tan jobs then yes. Otherwise I dont think so.
It's a very quaint town. Nothing is like the real thing though. It's very Denmark like and cute for what it is.
As much as the New York casino in Las Vegas is like New York.
i guess that would be a subjective question. and the answer would depend on in what way its said to be like denmark, or in what ways youre asking. id say the weather would depend on the north lattitude, and proximity to the coast and which coast, and the sea currents near both. id say the people would be different having come from different cultures, but similar lattitudes have been known to produce similar practices that can be influenced by climate, in other parts of the world.
you got me, ill admit im guessing here. an educated guess no doubt but simply a guess. but id like to see both and learn the real answer
Exactly.
Not europe but cute little european touches.
worth visiting, though.
