Travel Tips
Transportation
Copenhagen is devided in zones and zones 1 and 2 over the center of the city. Depending on how long you plan to stay you can use a punch card/clipcard - the most commonly used one is 10-clip 2 zone card - 120 dkk (you'll have ot do conversion yourself) - you clip once per trip (twice for a night bus) - each clip is valid for 1 hour and you can change transpotation (bus, train, metro) as much as you want or a 7-day pass for 195 dkk - no limits of any kind. you can purchase them at every station (airport as well).

drinks: coffee 12 kr and up
juice/soda - 16 kr and up
beer - 20 kr and up
spirits -40 kr and up
the prices i give you are the lowest you can find but add a couple of kroners to each for a more realistic price

meals: mcdonald - 10 kr for a cheeseburger
pizzas - 20 kr for a slice and 50+ kr for a whole
chinese takeaway - 30 kr and up
restaurant meals - 80 kr and up
you can get a very decent meal at a buffet (turkish or chinese) for 40 kr and there is one close to the center

souvenires:
its a flee market season : and i would recommend that rather than any of the antique shops - the prices there can gove you a headache - There is a very nice flee market on Frederiksberg (a commune within Copenhagen) it is open on saturdays from 8-14. you can find little gems of danish pottery for anything from 50 kr up.

remember: on wednesdays most of museums and galleries have free admittion.

is there anything else you want to know , just ask

I had been to Denmark a few months ago - Denmark is a wonderful and great country, but extremely expensive, especially alcohol, tobacco, etc. is VERY expensive over there. Food and other stuffs are also a bit higher in prices as they are over here in Germany, but not that much...
If you are an Non-EU citizen, you're not allowed to bring any food into the European Union (this is a new regulation!).

Greetings from Germany.
Food and drink is generally quite expensive in Denmark. You will pay around 拢7 - 拢8 for a sandwich and a drink in a cafe. Transport is generally about the same price as England. For souvenirs you should bring home some licorice and danish pastries.
Also useful information. In supermarkets in denmark you do not automatically get given carrier bags, you will have to pay for them if you want them as they are encouraging people to reuse old ones. Also if you buy a soft drink in a plastic or glass bottle when you have finished it you can take it back to another shop and claim a small amount of money for returning the bottle. Again encouraging recycling.
I have been to Denmark a few times now as my boyfriend is Danish.
Things are rather expensive in Denmark, lets say if u go for fast food it wud cost u around 55dkk-70dkk that wud be around 5-7GBP and of coz more expensive if u go to a "fancy" restaurant. As for transport, if ure only visiting within 2zones u can purchase a "clip card" for around 130krs if am not mistaken. It has around 10clips, u can use it on trains & buses. Its a lil cheaper than buyin individual tickets for each trip.If ure travellin from 1 spot to nother within the same hour, u can actually hop off the train & get on the bus to ur destination..without a 2nd ticket as long as its in the same hour. its like if u juz wanna drop by a shop, u can take d bus, then shop n get back on the bus back,as long as its in an hr!
As for souvenirs , tourists like to buy postcards, small mermaid statues, danish flags etc. U can find a lot of shops that sells souvenirs along Str酶get street.Have fun & good luck!
Very expensive re meals, do not eat McDonalds every day, 2 arms and a leg! souvenirs usual ripoff prices, if you know a local, ask him/her to take you to a cheaper store! you can ride a pushbike?? got a beautiful bike rent system. price of 20 kroner (coin) = 4aust.$ you can ride all day and drop it off anywhere, where the rental bikerack are placed, anywhere in the city of Copenhagen, used to live there FLED the country 37 years ago too cold in winter, (
