What is there to do in Copenhagen, Denmark? |
Travel Info I might be going to Copenhagen for 5 days. What is there to do in Copenhagen? Has anyone ever been? If so, what should I do? Any places you'd recommend? Any local specialties I should eat? Places to see? Etc. Tell me your experience and what you'd recommend. Travel Tips the little mermaid, tivoli, the palaces, ny havn, shopping areas, and the cemetery by christiana ( chirstiana isnt that great of a place). but the cemetery has neils bor and people like that. you can take a canal tour or bike tour as well. there are also museums and the national museum....outside of cph , not far, is viking ruins and museums and a park, and some huge castles you can go in. i live in denmark now and i am american. as for food, well its basically the same. They eat a lot of meat and potatoes so be ready for that, p酶lse horn (pigs in a blanket), don't eat leverpostej unless you have a strong stomach, rugbr酶d is basically rye bread but stronger, frikedellar (meatballs made of pork), and most eat open sandwiches, french hotdogs and such. not much variety or difference. the bakeries are good and they eat only buns and butter or cheese for breakfast so don't expect a hot meal or cereal. Drinks can also come without ice, and there is no tea, but hot tea. They drink alot of coffee. order well done on meat or it will be mooing at you. |
