Best hostel to stay in Copenhagen (Denmark)? |
Travel Info central spot, not very expensive, clean and safe Travel Tips The best located is Danhostel City. I've been in that place and had a look around. There's not much common area space for 500 guests (which this hostel holds). For example, I saw 1 television in the lobby, and seating for maybe 20. The kitchen is a room seating maybe 30, with a few tiny European fridges (for 500 guests, mind you). The breakfast room is a little bigger, with a great view. Security is too tight--you swipe your key card for elevator access, stairwell access, room access, kitchen access, building access (after hours)--which doesn't seem so bad... but what happens in case of fire?! It's newish and slick-looking, but to me, it's too big, and over the top with all the key card access points. Personally, I prefer Danhostel Amager. It's in a quiet area just a 9 minute metro ride to the center. The hostel backs up to a large nature area, with metro stop about 300 meters away, runs every 4 minutes at peak hours. Further away is Danhostel Bellah酶j, but in my opinion, it's too far away. |
