The very best restaurant in Copenhagen is Kung Hans Kaelder. It's very expensive, but it has a Michelin star and is just the nicest dining experience you will ever have. The atmosphere is so private and romantic (King Hans' wine cellars converted into a restaurant), the service is wonderful and the food is superb.

For some cheaper, but still excellent fare, try the tomato soup at Cafe Norden on Stroget, my absolute fave, Ketchup restaurant in Tivoli and go to Glace on Stroget for the most decadent, indulgent breakfast ever (pastries and the like...).
