Travel Info Will I get altitude sickness from just visiting Colorado Springs? Travel Tips Most people don't get altitude sickness in Colorado Springs or in Denver because it's in lower altitude. Others no. just dont look down you might get a headache going through the mountains getting there I dont believe so. depends, where you are from...I am a swamp rat from the deep south...around New Orleans. Yes, it made me sick the whole time I was there. probably not.....but you will notice that you will feel more out of shape than usual....a good rule of thumb is to allow one day for every 1000 feet that you have traveled above where you normally live.....dont plan on going for a run I lived in Colorado for 17 years and have made many return trips since. |
