Most people don't get altitude sickness in Colorado Springs or in Denver because it's in lower altitude. It affects above 6000 feet.

depends, where you are from...I am a swamp rat from the deep south...around New Orleans. Yes, it made me sick the whole time I was there.
probably not.....but you will notice that you will feel more out of shape than usual....a good rule of thumb is to allow one day for every 1000 feet that you have traveled above where you normally live.....dont plan on going for a run
I lived in Colorado for 17 years and have made many return trips since.
