Highest mountian in u.s.?

Travel Tips
Mt Denali (which is also known as Mt. McKinley) in Alaska is the highest Mountain in the U.S. (and North America for that matter). It is 20,320 above sea level.

The locals call it Denali, even though it is officially called "McKinley" because the congressman from Mt. McKinley's hometown passes a resolution every few years to keep it called "McKinley."

The highest peak in the lower 48 is Mt Whitney in California which is 14,491 ft high.
