Denver does not have a ski resort for one thing. The town is 30 miles east of the rockies. Manitou Springs is beautiful. So is Pagosa Springs. Try Silverthorne or Dillon.

I loved Colorado Springs... I would live in Fountain again ( south of CS), as the cost of housing is a little less there than right in town...
