Travel Info What is a good weekend getaway in New Mexico or Colorado? Travel Tips So many wonderful places in either state to take a weekend trip! My favorites are Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park, Aspen, Taos and Santa Fe. Others Taos, New Mexico; Mesa Verde National Park in the Four Corners area; Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs, Colorado; Canon City/Royal Gorge, Colorado; Denver/Golden, Colorado; Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. For romance I would choose Taos or Estes Park. For exploring the great outdoors I would choose Mesa Verde, Royal Gorge, or Rocky Mountain Nat'l. Park. For sightseeing and tourist spots I would choose Denver or Colorado Springs. i live in pueblo colorado and the entire state sucks bad- dont waste ur time This is great, and it was rated highly on the Travel Channel: http://beavercreek.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotel... I love Breckenridge in the spring/summer, too -- you could stay at a nice little bed and breakfast there, go on the alpine slides, check out the cute little shops in town and enjoy the great restaurants. Too many places to list. But if you are looking for something not too expensive, but still fun and beautiful, I would chose Glenwood Springs, CO. If you have kids, awesome place to go.
