Where's the best place in Colorado to visit? |
Travel Info Hiking, camping view etc. Travel Tips My vote is for Rocky Mountain National Park. There are so many hiking trails of varying difficulty, campgrounds in the park and lots of places to eat or stay in Estes Park on the East side or Grand Lake on the west side. It's very easy to get to from Denver and you won't find more magnificent views anywhere! Others Go to Telluride, Ourey, or Salida. All close in the moutnains with easy access to lots of great hiking and scenery. Hike to Conundrum Hot Springs near Aspen. It is a ten mile hike in, but you can camp there and skinny dip in the springs! The best snow for snowshoeing is around Steamboat Springs-snowshoe around Rabbit Ears pass--it is delightful! Grand County! It has a large part of rocky mountain national park. It also contains three large lakes including Grand Lake. The Winter Park ski area is brilliant and all of the towns except kremmling are wonderful! Pueblo, they have really good camping. I live in Colorado Springs which is like 30 minutes away,we go camping, hiking, and fishing down there all the time. It's also really cheap. Aspen, Telluride, Glenwood Springs, anywhere in Colorado is AWESOME. Northwest is the best!! Try the Durango area too tellaride, aspen, vail, the rocky mountains |
