I am going tent camping in the mountains....? |
Travel Info today we r going completely tent camping in the mountains.....any advice? Travel Tips Well, that's the Rockies-and I live in Rockies region, too. So! Tenting in the Rockies is nOT the same as tenting in lower elevation. -Take along warm clothing. The higher you go, the colder it's going to be earlier on. I've frozen at night before-in summer! -Tons of water! Because it's cooler in the mtn's., you don't notice as much when you become dehydrated. -Basic camping sense--hang your food up in a tree with a rope so the bears don't come knocking. -Wear a whistle -sunscreen -hat -an extra pair of shoes and socks Have fun! :) Others Be aware of your surroundings. And stay close together. If someone has to use the facilities, go in at least pairs, never alone. Camping can be fun but it can also be dangerous. And please put out your fire before you leave your campsite. It sounds like you dont know much.... Tent camping I thought camping involved a tent? but I could be wrong...
