Can anyone suggest a ski resort to stay at in Colorado and when is the best time of year to go ? |
Travel Info I am 39 never seen/played in snow want to experience it all in a vacation with hubby and 2 teenage boys FULL EXTREME, want to snowboard too Travel Tips Don't do Vail or Aspen. They are so overrated I think. My favorites are Breckenridge, Steamboat, and Winter Park. Go in mid to early December and call it a Christmas present to your family! Others Why do you prefer those resort rather than Vail or Aspen? Is it cheaper? Less crowded? I'm flying out to Denver in late December and is in the process of figuring out which resort to go to. Any suggestion will be appreciated :) I love staying at the mountain haus in Vail,co. Tahoe is more tolerant of snowboarders though. Winter Park, Breckenridge, Apsen, Snowmass, Vail If you are staying in Denver Winter Park is the closest.Try and get your ski equipment in Denver and ski lift tickets there they a re cheaper. Go between the holidays it is cheaper. Loveland and Cooper Mountain are also fun for the family. Vail is amazingggg but if you've never gone skiing it might be a little intense, i would suggest Beaver Creek because thats more beginner-friendly and its only abuot 15 min. away from Vail so when you get good you can go to Vail!!! |
