It's nice. The people are nice. Weather is harsh in winter, but nice the rest of the year. It's a good place to raise a family.

Foreign Example's answer was a bit more complete and cohesive.

I'm about to move there. It's a big city, Boulder only 30 miles away and that is a hip place. Fort Collins is an hour away and is also a great city. Estes park is hour and half away and it houses some of the best treasures in the front range. I worked for a few summers in college at YMCA of Estes Park maintaining the grounds and hiking Rocky Mountain National Park. If you go to Denver from sea level, drink alot of water when you get there. The reason that Denver has been voted the most athletic city in the nation is because when you do exercise there, at that altitude it's all gravy. Cannot wait to get there because Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and BC are God's Country. Plus, live in Denver long enough and you will understand about "the fourteeners". Once you climb one, literally, you want the next 53.
Oh yeah, it gets cold there, I'm from Texas and will need to take driving lessons for the ice they get in the mountains. Skiing in Colorado, well just look up the season pass price vs. the 3 day price for your typical vacation and you will see what I'm talking about.
it is true the snow can get bad at times but it is worth it because it makes the mountains that much more beautiful...i have idea on the whole job thing....we are not all that bad for the most part we are very nice a friendly........lots of things to do and see go to six flags...go shopping hiking skiing rock climbing there is a ton of stuff to do here.....
It is completely the opposite of what I thought it would be, there were alot more Spanish people there than I expected. I mean I am not prejudice I just didn't really expect it. However, Boulder is really nice though. I was only there between Feb-April but during that time it did snow alot and was very cold. And I had missed the worsed of it as I was told. Gets like 20 below Zero from what Denver people told me. Hope this helps.
I was just in Denver last week visiting on vacation. I cannot tell you about the housing or the jobs, but the people are very nice and friendly. The weather there in the summer time can get very warm, but it is not a humid heat - I am from the Midwest where the humidity is very high. The heat in Denver is more bearable. Denver has a lot of parks where you can jog, walk, people watch, walk your dog. There is a bus line and what they call a 'light rail' which is a train that goes down town. The view is very pretty with all of the mountains. A website that you can check out is www.denvergov.org it has all kinds of information on it about Denver. Fun things to do would depend on what you think is fun. You can go to the ski resorts in the summer and mountain bike, or hike. In the winter of course you would ski :) I know they get lots of snow, but I think they are pretty good about taking care of the roads. There are all kinds of museums. Check out the website it will be a lot of help. Newspapers are the Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post. Good Luck
