Travel Info
I'm thinking about moving to colorado and I'm wondering which part of colorado should i move to? Everything East of Denver just looks kind of boring does it not?

Travel Tips
Writing from Colorado ----

Yes, everything East of Denver is pretty flat. Bitter cold and tons of snow in the winter. Horribly hot in the summer. Bummer.

If you follow the I-70 corridor west out of Denver into the mountains it is beautiful. It is also pretty expensive. I dont know where you're moving from or what industry you're in, but along that route the prices are pretty high and the good work that pays well is pretty scarce. It's mostly a collection of small towns that rely on tourism to make it.

If you head south of Denver you'll find Colorado Springs - it's a city of about a half million people. The views are incredible, the weather is much better than it is further east. You can get into the mountains in about 20 minutes from the center of town. It's nice. Home prices are $150,000-$200,000 for an average single family home in an average neighborhood. There is a lot of industry and many well paying jobs depending on your field. We lived in Colorado Springs for a while and loved it. Real Estate prices are rising at a decent pace so it would be a great place to go and buy a house.

Further south from Colorado Springs is Pueblo. Pueblo is the third largest city in the state. There is some industry and some good jobs. The nice thing about Pueblo is it is still really cheap. Your average home in an average neighborhood is about $100,000-$115,000. Rent for an apartment is $450 or so. A home rents for $600-$800 per month. THE SUMMERS ARE HOT though.

My personal favorite is a tiny town in south central colorado called south fork. Tourism is the only industry but it is the most beautiful place on earth. If you can find work, it is absolute heaven.

Hope this has been helpful!

East of Denver is boring but when you go near Vale, it's beautiful and $$$$$$
Well it depends why you're moving to Colorado. If you want to be by the mountains or by the city or in the city. Basically, all the cities surrounding Denver are city life as well. I would look into what kind of area you want to live because Colorado has a lot to offer. Good luck
East of Denver is the Denver Tech Center. Many white-collar professionals work there and so they have the nicer neighborhoods (Greenwood Village) nearby....if you can afford it.

The city is more accessible from DTC now that the rail system is set to open.
If you are looking at moving to Denver, we like South Denver. Some areas in the north toward Boulder are nice too.
evergreen colorado...has the mountain feel to it but close enough to denver to work. im moving there in a year..been there many times... love it...i have lived in california for 21 years and im over it
If you like friendly and quaint cities I would move to Louisville or Lafayette, CO
