Travel Tips
CD, we can better answer your question if you can tell us what part of Colorado you'll be visiting. It's a big state and takes several hours to drive across. It wouldn't be helpful for us to recommend places in Denver if you'll be visiting Durango, etc.

Feel free to contact me as well. I can point you to fun stuff the natives do where there are no crowds! Source(s): Genuine Colorado Native

Have fun.
Colorado is awesome... Definitely Estes Park. Estes itself is a cool little town to visit on your way into the park. And the park - wow - just be sure you have cameras handy.
If you like great food and brewpubs, your're in luck here. Boulder is a great college town, there are lots of places to hang out and have lunch on the patio. And there's a big open-air mall that's awesome.
Central City is fun - it's a quaint little gambling town in the mountains - full of saloons and cool little shops. And the drive out there is beautiful.
Just take a driving trip around the state. The sights are magnificent. If you drive across from Colorado Springs toward Montrose, then down to Durango, you will be amazed at how awesome it is. There's a huge bridge over a big gorge, forgot the name, but you can't miss it if you make the drive. Then once you're in Durango, take the historic steam engine train that makes a trip to Silverton on a daily basis. Goes through the canyons, and is wonderful. Half day trips or full day. Fishing the rivers is great. Hiking trails are abundant. Colorado is absolutely the best state for touring, autumn, spring, or fall. Of course, winter is tough driving in the mountains, with all the snowfall and ice.
baseball game...coors field to see the major league rockies or colorado springs to see the triple A sky sox...i love baseball. minor league games are cheaper and just as fun!
red rocks, boulder, winter park mountain lodge, drive through the mountains, 'oh my god' road
