Sure, there are some cold and snowy days, but it is not unusual to get sunny days in the 50s and 60s even in January and February. Christmas Day 1980, it was warmer in Denver than it was in Miami. Sometimes we get huge dumps, which are actually fun because you usually have time to prepare for it and the snow melts pretty quickly in the following days. In winter, you can still golf! Otherwise, there are plenty of indoor activities; ice skating rinks, swimming complexes, movie theatres, shopping - the usual stuff the rest of the country has. Skiing is only an hour away and the best in the country. I like to go snowshoeing because it's so easy and fun. Other Travel Tips Go skiing at Breckenridge it is awesome. Nothing if you don't ski. Spend winter in Phoenix or Tucson. Freeze!!!! I know this for a fact, I have been there in winter. You could find my dad's place and egg it or tp it. If I knew his address I'd give it to ya. mama gretch is right it really doesnt get as cold as people think it does in colorado. some places during the winter it gets cloudy and snowy. but not in denver! itll snow one day and be 60 degrees and sunny the next (makes for perfect ski/board conditions) so you can do pretty much whatever you would do during winter in any other city. |
